Pearland gas prices declined by a few cents this week, with the average price remaining lower than those for Texas, the Houston area and the United States. According to data from gasbuddy.com, the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Pearland is about $3.391. That figure is an average of rates reported by the site's users at 37 Pearland-area stations. It's a little more than two cents lower than last week's average of $3.414. By comparison, the site lists average prices as $3.402 per gallon for Texas, $3.422 for the Houston area and $3.531 for the United States as a whole. Not surprisingly, Pearland is also home to some of the area's least expensive individual gas stations. Four stations in the city are reported as offering gas at $3.28, which is the third-lowest price listed for Greater Houston by GasBuddy. All of the stations are on Main Street. They are: Buc-ee's at 2541 S. Main St., RaceWay at 1028 N. Main St., Murphy USA at 1917 N. Main St., and Valero at 2204 N. Main St. The highest price listed for the city was $3.53 per gallon. The two stations charging that price are also on Main Street; they are Chevron at 2121 N. Main St. and Exxon at 2401 S. Main St.
